The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. The Commission consists of a Chairman and ten Members. The terms and conditions of service of Chairman and Members of the Commission are governed by the Union Public Service Commission (Members) Regulations, 1969. The Commission is serviced by a Secretariat headed by a Secretary with two Additional Secretaries, a number of Joint Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and other supporting staff.
UPSC invites Online application by 01/09/2011 for following  various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The posts are :

7. Senior Lecturer (Ophthalmology) : 01 post Chandigarh Medical Education Department
8. Lecturer (Physics) : 01 post in Andaman and Nicobar Administration
9. Lecturer (Electrical) : 02 posts in Andaman and Nicobar Administration
10. Lecturer (Computer Engineering) : 04 posts in Andaman and Nicobar Administration
11. Lecturer (Civil) : 01 post in Andaman and Nicobar Administration
12. Lecturer (Electronics) : 01 post in Andaman and Nicobar Administration
13. Senior Mining Geologist : 09 posts in Indian Bureau of Mines, M/o Mines

Fee payable is Rs.50/- in the shape of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. (fee exempted for SC/ ST/ PH/ Women candidates)

Candidates should apply in the prescribed format  to the Joint Secretary (Recruitment), Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069, so as to reach on or before prescribed closing date i.e. 01/09/2011 (08/09/2011 for the candidates from far-flung areas)
